Global Perspectives

The Cambridge Climate and Sustainability Forum (CCSF) is a multi-day event aimed at increasing awareness of climate change, through a variety of panels and showcases. It is organised by a group of University of Cambridge students, with the support of Cambridge Hub and Cambridge Zero.  The CCSF is being organised for the fifth time now, with a new team and a new theme.

This year, we want to highlight “Global Perspectives” by hosting educational events within Cambridge on Climate and Sustainability, to a wide range of audiences. We aim to host school children, academics, university students, staff and anybody interested in climate issues. There will be a diverse range of field leaders at the events, speaking on their lived experience working within the green sector and the conference aims to cover a diverse range of ways to address the current environmental crisis.

Speakers

Tusk is an organisation established in 1990, in response to poaching in Africa that nearly drove black rhinos to extinction. They have continued to aid wildlife conservation across the continent, combating the illegal wildlife trade, habitat loss and encouraging education on the topics. They have numerous high-profile ambassadors, such as the Prince of Wales, John Cleese and Bear Grylls. Since 2000, they have also helped organise the Lewa Safari Marathon. This fundraiser, run in the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy in Kenya, has helped raise millions for Tusk’s projects.
